To continue providing the best email marketing platform and deliverability possible, Vizergy will now require users to implement a Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Record on their DNS server starting October 17th, 2019.
What is an SPF record?
An SPF record functions as an authentication method for email service providers (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) to ensure that an email sender is authorized and legitimate.
Why is an SPF Record now being required?
An SPF record adds an extra layer of security through validation of the origin of the email and can keep your emails from hitting the spam folders of your subscribers. While this record was considered optional for most email service providers in the past, recent trends indicate that this will likely become a requirement in the near future, with large name email service providers mandating the record.
What is a DNS?
Your Domain Name System (DNS) is the service that connects your domain to your internet provided services. This is typically the same place that you have registered your domain (GoDaddy, Google Domains, Network Solutions, etc.).
What DNS do I have?
You can find your DNS host using the ICANN LOOKUP here. Your DNS host information will be under “Namerservers”, where you have registered your domain is listed under the “Registrar Information” section.
How can we add this SPF record?
To implement this change, please add this attached record to your DNS. If you have an existing SPF record, it will need to be edited to include our information. Your DNS host provider should be able to assist in adding this on your behalf, however, please reach out if you have any questions about adding the record.

These updates will allow us to continue providing you with the best email deliverability possible. This update will be required by October 17th, 2019. Without this record, you will no longer be able to send email from the platform.
